Founded in 2011 by artist Sam Pooley, Compost Kids began life in The Market Hall for children of all ages. Rooted in art history and fuelled by sustainability, curiosity and a healthy disregard for colouring inside the lines, classes explored everything from Gaudí to Hundertwasser, Picasso to Banksy, and Vivienne Westwood to Noguchi.

 

Now, Swan Hill Studios is bringing Compost Kids back for a summer-long programme in partnership with The Shrewsbury Summer of Wellbeing, because we believe creativity is key to feeling good.​​
