About the event
We are delighted to be hosting Shropshire Tropicalia artist and educator Lucy Caddel here at Swan Hill for SY Shrewsbury Open Studios. We will be open 10 to 4 on the 11th and 12th July.
Lucy's instantly recognisable work is colourful, life affirming and joyful. Described as 'dopamine dressing for your walls', her vibrant Latino inspired palette has been exhibited at prestigious institutions including the Royal Cambrian Academy, the Herbert Art Gallery and the Three Counties Exhibition, alongside a hugely successful solo show at Soulton Hall last November.
Lucy will be bringing a range of artwork to suit all budgets, from large framed canvases and smaller studies on panel to delicate gouache studies, plein air watercolours of local landmarks and lively ink drawings.
