About the event
Throughout his most recent run of Batman comics- First Knight and it's subsequent sequel ; Second Knight - Mike Perkins has utilised some of Shrewsbury's most iconic bulidings to depict Gotham. None more so than Shrewsbury prison - a gothic, dark edifice in it's own right. It was pointed out to him by his good friend James Fletcher ( who also appears in the comic as...well...a good-hearted pimp!) that on one particular page with four panels of scene setting shots of the prison - and Batman appearing in the bottom right of the fourth panel - that the flow of panels and character provided it's own theme tune using the name of the prison itself. Thus we are presented with a page singing (altogether now) Dana, Dana, Dana, Dana .... BATMAN!!
